Best bridal shower tips
Wedding showers should be fun, engaging and memorable. But, when it comes down to the planning, they can also be a lot of work! Cut down on the fuss and increase the fun with some of our favorite planning tips. Best of luck!
1. Select a fun theme
A theme for the shower can simplify planning and decorations and it also helps guests narrow down choices when it comes to gifts. We love a kitchen theme where guests can bring a favorite kitchen gadget along with a favorite recipe. Other ideas include a specific season, garden, fairy tale or even a book party where guests share their favorite reads with the bride (especially on topics related to marriage or home.) Be creative and think of the personality of the bride to be.
2. Prepare a few games and conversation starters
Most of the shower will be spent eating, sharing stories, laughing and opening gifts, so you don't want to overstructure your time together, but having a few tricks up your sleeve can help in those moments of lull or to break the ice between guests who may not know each other. Here are some great ideas to get started.
3. Remember light refreshments go a long way
If it is a casual engagement, guest will not plan on being served a full meal. Delicious, light refreshments can be filling as well as novel when unique treats and drinks are provided. Again, tie in ideas from the theme as well as favorites of the bride to be. Veggies with hummus, deviled eggs, fruit and cheese skewers, small sandwiches or wraps are all fuss-free fare.
Most importantly, don't forget to ask for help! Friends and family members are usually happy to pitch in and set up or gather supplies needed. Also, remember we have beautiful pieces for serving as well as our fun floral patterns from Rifle Paper Co. that will add that special touch of charm.
